The Permanent Forum is used by the Eurofighter Typhoon Community to facilitate networking and sharing of information to develop interoperability and to achieve additional objectives in the Air Ops, Flight Safety and Maintenance/Logistic domains. Relevant lessons identified and lessons learnt regarding
recent Combined Air Policing missions were exchanged, and it is hoped that what was discussed will have a positive influence on future activity as nations continue to work more closely together.
Other relevant issues for cooperation were discussed including; common fleet issues, exercise and training opportunities for 2023 (and beyond), and the utilisation of Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) activities as a test bed for interoperability. During day two, the Air Ops and Flight Safety syndicate discussed a new updated version of the ETIP Flying Standard Operational Procedures and ways to reinvigorate and accelerate the information sharing to national flight safety incidents and concerns. The Maintenance and logisticians syndicate continued the work started last May during the first ETIP PF Meeting, regarding the update and expansion of the Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) compatibility matrix and the initiation of a common list of aircraft consumables that could be shared in an operational environment. The meeting continues to have relevance in the Eurofighter Typhoon Community, acting as the sole forum for interoperability discussions at Squadron and Unit level.
