The European Air Group organised a Rapid Air Power Projection symposium, hosted by the French Armée de l’Air & de l’Espace at Lyon Mont Verdun AFB (France), from the 27th to the 30th of March 2023 as part of a new initiative aimed at exploring the possibility of planning and executing combined, multinational, long-range deployments. Participants from all EAG Nations, and from the EATC and MCCE, attended both events. The working session focussed, in particular, on the possibility of conducting combined long-range deployments in the near future. The Symposium also offered the opportunity for the Royal Air Force, Luftwaffe and Armée de l’Air & de l’Espace representatives to share their Lessons Identified from their deployments to the Indo-Pacific region in 2022.
The EAG Staff will remain engaged with its Member Nations to promote further opportunities to plan, and possibly exercise, a multinational combined long-range deployment
